1. Will the Compiere ERP Service Packs are frequently available?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Approximately, Service Packs are released once in every 1 or 2 months.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Can I download these Service Packs free of charge?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Service Packs are free for customers with Compiere Enterprise Edition subscriptions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Will new functionality be delivered through Compiere ERP Service Packs?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mostly, Service packs includes bug fixes, rarely we may provide minor functional and\/or usability enhancements. Each bug fix, enhancement and known issue will be documented in the Service Pack release notes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Is it possible to apply for a back dated service pack?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Definitely NO. Service Packs are cumulative in nature. The latest Service Pack has all relevant bug fixes rolled into it.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Do Service Packs have to be applied in a particular sequence?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NO. You cannot sequence the application of these packs because there is only one Stable Release or Service Pack available for download at a time.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Is there new documentation associated with the Compiere Service Pack?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Service Packs primarily deliver bug fixes. So, new user documentation is not needed. Installation documentation is included in release notes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

7. I am facing a bug that needs to be fixed ASAP. But, I can\u2019t wait till next Service Pack release. What to do?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Only major open source releases will be on SourceForge, not Service Packs. When next service pack is released, improvements provided in previous Service Packs will eventually propagate to SourceForge.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

9. How often will you introduce a new open source release?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We cannot predict it. New product releases are based on business needs, technology changes and magnitude of enhancements.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
