{"id":6643,"date":"2023-01-13T09:01:40","date_gmt":"2023-01-13T09:01:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jaldi.store\/?p=576"},"modified":"2026-03-03T10:08:50","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T10:08:50","slug":"wastage-entry-in-retail-pos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tenthplanet.in\/blogs\/wastage-entry-in-retail-pos\/","title":{"rendered":"Wastage entry in Retail POS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wastage entry used to reduce the unsalable stock due to wastage or damage from the normal stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wastage has two type,\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wastage \u2013 supplier would not accept this stock in purchase return. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Damage \u2013 suppliers will accept this as purchase return with different price since it damaged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Damaged stock will be sent back to supplier as purchase return.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Need confirmation option for wastage update to affect inventory.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Business rules<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>User will open that wastage entry screen to update the item&#8217;s wastage stock.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select wastage type from the drop down list. System will have following wastage types by default,\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wastage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Damage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Theft<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Own use<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sample given<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Owner took<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complementary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only the wastage selected items will be allowed to purchase return.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After selecting wastage type start selecting the product details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>User can update the wastage reason for each product.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once required product details where loaded in screen, press &#8220;save&#8221; to save wastage. Then wastage entry number will be generated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once wastage number generated, the confirmation approval sent to admin in HQ.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Authorised people can view wastage reports to track the better inventory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once admin approved, the stock of wastage entered items will get reduced in respective outlet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wastage entry used to reduce the unsalable stock due to wastage or damage from the normal stock.
