{"id":6678,"date":"2023-01-17T11:49:35","date_gmt":"2023-01-17T11:49:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jaldi.store\/?p=633"},"modified":"2026-03-03T10:08:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T10:08:13","slug":"delete-practice-data-in-retail-pos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tenthplanet.in\/blogs\/delete-practice-data-in-retail-pos\/","title":{"rendered":"Delete Practice Data in Retail POS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delete Practice Data feature is used to delete all the master, transaction or both from the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Business rules<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Before clearing all the data, system should take the current backup of the application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data clean up process should be proceeded when admin password is entered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There should be the menu called practice data cleanup under tools for user to delete the required data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To proceed data cleanup user should go to data cleanup menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then user will select the required option to clear data from one of the following options \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All masters &#8211; Process will remove all the data in application and application will become same like how it get installed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>keep all master &#8211; Process will remove all the transaction entries and retain all the master in application based on the sub option selection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If &#8220;keep all master&#8221; option is selected then user should select any one of the sub option from\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Master only &#8211; Process will retain only masters names other details will be removed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master with price &#8211; Process will retain master with their respective prices other details will be removed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master with opening stock &#8211; Retain all masters and opening stocks other details will be removed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master with closing stock &#8211; Retain all master and closing or current stock. The closing or current stock will be the opening stock of the application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After that user will click on the function key called &#8220;Yes i agree&#8221; to proceed the data cleanup process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then system will ask about to select the following options only when user used application in two different financial year\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Financial years (Ex:- 2020-2021) &#8211; System will retain the opening balance of the selected financial year in accounts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I don&#8217;t want financial years &#8211; Remove all ledgers opening balance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then user will click on the function key &#8220;proceed&#8221; to continue the data cleanup process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When data clean up process is proceeded system should ask to enter admin password to proceed. So user will enter admin password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>But before proceeding the data clean up system will take the current backup of the application for restore purpose.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After that system will run data cleanup process and remove the required details from application based on user requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Delete Practice Data feature is used to delete all the master, transaction or both from the application.
