The Vendor Master<\/strong> is a centralised record that stores complete details about each supplier or vendor from whom goods or services are purchased. It includes basic info, contact, tax, payment terms, and bank details, used in the Purchase and Finance modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Admin<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Cashier<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    What User Can Do<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Create a new vendor record<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Update vendor details (address, GST, PAN, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Set default payment terms<\/strong>, currency, and tax type<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Activate or deactivate vendors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Pre-Requisite Activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      • Finalize vendor code\/numbering format<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Collect valid documents (PAN, GST, bank details)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Configure payment terms, tax categories, and vendor types<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Assign appropriate roles for access and approval<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        BUSINESS RULES<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        • Vendor Name & GSTIN<\/strong> must be unique<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • GST number is mandatory<\/strong> for GST vendors<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Only authorized users can create or modify vendors<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Inactive vendors cannot be used in PO, GRN, or Invoice<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Vendor record cannot be deleted if any transaction exists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          USER INTERFACE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          Step<\/strong> 1<\/strong> : Select \u2018Vendor<\/strong>\u2019 in Menu -> Master<\/strong> > Partner management<\/strong> > Business partner rules <\/strong> > Vendor<\/strong> or Search Vendor<\/strong> in Lookup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Step 2 :<\/strong> To create new Vendor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Step 3 :<\/strong> Enter the vendor details by following steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Step 4 :<\/strong> If you Choose the register vendor type then enter the vendor GST no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Step 5 :<\/strong> Click to open Location tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Step 6 :<\/strong> To create new record for vendor location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Step 7 :<\/strong> Enter the vendor location details in address form by following steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
