Deactivating a Product<\/strong> means marking the product as inactive in the system so it can no longer be used in transactions like sales, purchase, or stock transfer. This helps in managing discontinued or obsolete items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What User Can Do<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • Disable the product from being selected in sales or purchase<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Hide the product from lookup\/search screens<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Retain product history and transactions<\/strong> for reporting<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Prevent new price entries or stock updates<\/strong> for the product<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Reactivate the product later if required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Pre-Requisite Activities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      • Ensure no open transactions<\/strong> (like PO or GRN) are pending for the product<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Settle all stock or inventory adjustments<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Confirm product is not part of any active combo or promotion<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Check if alternate product mapping<\/strong> is required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        • Only users with appropriate roles can deactivate a product<\/li>\n\n\n\n
