This process allows the user to update or change the GST number<\/strong> of an existing vendor in the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What User Can Do<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Search and select an existing vendor<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • View the current GST number<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Enter the new GST number<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Save and update<\/strong> the vendor record<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Pre-Requisite Activities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      • Vendor must be already created<\/strong> in the system<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • User must have permission<\/strong> to edit vendor master<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The new GST number must be a valid 15-digit GSTIN<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Business Rules<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        • Only authorized users can change vendor GST numbers<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • New GST number must follow the standard 15-character format<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • GST number changes should be logged or auditable<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Transactions linked to the old GST number should be retained<\/strong> and not altered<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • If the GST number is changed, the system should recalculate tax<\/strong> for future transactions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Duplicate GST numbers should not be allowed<\/strong> for different vendors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
