If there are any bills placed on hold<\/strong>, the POS system should restrict the user from logging out<\/strong> until those bills are either retrieved and billed<\/strong> or cancelled<\/strong>. This ensures that no transaction is left incomplete or unaccounted for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What User Can Do<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • Place a bill on hold<\/strong> temporarily (e.g., customer steps away).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Resume (retrieve) the bill and complete payment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Cancel the held bill if not required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Only after no bills are in hold status<\/strong>, user can logout<\/strong> from POS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        • Bill Hold \/ Retrieve function<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Session-level tracking of held bills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • User session management should be enforced<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Business Rules<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          • If any bill is in hold status<\/strong>, system must:\n

            • Block logout with error message:
              “Logout not allowed. Clear all held bills first.”<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Bills on hold must be:\n

              • Completed (converted to sale) OR<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Deleted\/cancelled (if invalid)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Hold bills should be user-specific (one cashier shouldn’t be blocked by another\u2019s hold).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
