A Free Item Promotion<\/strong> allows customers to receive one or more products at zero cost<\/strong> when they meet specific purchase criteria\u2014like buying certain items, reaching a bill value, or applying a coupon. It is commonly used to boost sales, increase basket size<\/strong>, or promote new\/slow-moving products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Select Promotion mode and Promotion Type<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Set date range of promotion<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Apply the promotion<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Start the promotions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Stop the promotion (Manual or automatic)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      PRE-REQUISITE ACTIVITIES<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      • Ensure free items<\/strong> are available in inventory<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • SKU setup must include correct UOM and pricing<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Link item codes properly<\/strong> in promotion setup<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • POS\/Billing module must support auto free item addition<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Define applicable sales channel<\/strong> (offline\/online)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Assign promotion codes or names<\/strong> for tracking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        BUSINESS RULES<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        • Free item is granted only if buy conditions are met<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Cannot substitute free item with other SKUs<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Free item must be billed with \u20b90 or defined discount<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Promotions should not exceed maximum allowed benefit<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Free item is tracked for inventory and reporting<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Not applicable on returned or voided transactions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Free item is visible in customer invoice\/receipt<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Overlapping promotions must have priority logic defined<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
