Deactivating a POS promotion<\/strong> means turning it off<\/strong> so it can no longer be applied<\/strong> at the point of sale.The promotion is still saved in the system<\/strong>, but it is not available<\/strong> for use in transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What User Can Do<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • View the promotion details (if they have permission).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Process sales without applying the deactivated promotion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Inform customers that the promotion is not currently available.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Report or request reactivation from managers or admins.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Apply other active promotions if available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Pre-Requisite Activities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      • Promotion details (discount %, eligible products) are fully defined.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Promotion dates (start and end) are set.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Promotion is reviewed and approved by marketing\/management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • POS terminals are updated or synced with the promotion data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        BUSINESS RULES <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        • A promotion must be deactivated<\/strong> when it is no longer valid or needs to be temporarily disabled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Deactivated promotions must not be available<\/strong> or select able at any POS terminal during sales.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Only authorised users (e.g., Marketing Manager, System Admin) can deactivate a promotion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Attempts to apply a deactivated promotion must trigger a notification informing it is inactive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
