The Quality Test window <\/strong>in iDempiere is used to define quality check types<\/strong> that can be associated with products. These tests represent specific inspection criteria<\/strong> your organization wants to track \u2014 for example, weight check, color check, or pH test. Quality Tests are standalone definitions<\/strong> that do not by themselves perform inspections, but they serve as the master list of test types<\/strong> that can later be applied to products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quality Test Creation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the Quality Test main tab you enter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Name<\/strong> \u2013 A unique label for the test (e.g., Moisture Content<\/em>, Density Test<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Description<\/strong> \u2013 An optional short explanation of the test<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Comment\/Help<\/strong> \u2013 Additional notes for users<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Active flag<\/strong> \u2013 Makes the test available for use in the system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Quality Test Product Assignment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Once defined, quality tests can be linked to products on the Product tab<\/strong> of the Quality Test window:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Choose the related Quality Test<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Optionally set an Expected Result<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      This indicates which test must be considered when that product is produced, received, or inspected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
