In iDempiere, a Resource<\/strong> represents a work entity that can be scheduled, used, assigned, or tracked<\/strong> in business operations. A Resource may be a person (like an employee or contractor)<\/strong> or a service point\/warehouse location<\/strong> depending on how it is used in transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resource Definition<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Each Resource record in iDempiere defines a schedulable entity by capturing essential details such as its name, type (categorizing it as human, equipment, or location), linked user or contact (representing internal employees or external parties), optional warehouse location for physical placement, and availability status to indicate current usability, enabling precise planning, assignment, and execution for diverse assets like site engineers, concrete mixers, or support team members across manufacturing, services, and project workflows<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resource Availability Management<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Resources can have unavailability periods<\/strong> defined in the Unavailability tab:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    iDempiere automatically creates and synchronizes a Product record<\/strong> for each Resource:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
