In iDempiere ERP<\/strong>, Issue to Project enables users to issue materials directly to a project<\/strong>. This process is typically used when inventory materials, received via Material Receipt<\/strong> or recorded in a Manual Inventory Location<\/strong>, need to be allocated to a specific project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This process allows organizations to manage inventory usage for specific projects<\/strong>, ensuring that the materials are properly tracked and billed, and that the project\u2019s expenses are updated accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Issue Material Process<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n


Project Selection<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The first step in the Issue to Project<\/strong> is selecting the project<\/strong> that the material will be issued to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Projects<\/strong> in iDempiere are usually linked to a specific cost center<\/strong> or task<\/strong>, and materials issued to the project will be tracked as project expenses or part of the project\u2019s inventory needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n


    Material Sources<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    You can issue materials to the project from two primary sources:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Material Receipt<\/strong>:\n
        \n
      • If you have already received materials through Material Receipts<\/strong>, you can issue those materials directly to the project.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Materials already received will appear as available for allocation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Expense Report – Inventory Location<\/strong>:\n

        • You can also manually select an Inventory Location<\/strong> where the materials are stored, as well as the Product<\/strong> and Quantity<\/strong> of materials to be issued.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • This method is used when materials are directly taken from a specified location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n


          Movement Date<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          The Movement Date<\/strong> is automatically set to today\u2019s date by default, but you can adjust this if necessary. This date will be used for tracking and reporting material movements in the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


          Transaction Confirmation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          After selecting the relevant project, materials, and movement date:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • Confirm<\/strong> the transaction to issue the selected materials to the project.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • iDempiere will automatically update the inventory<\/strong> and the project\u2019s material expenses<\/strong>, ensuring that everything is properly tracked.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
