    Cost Adjustment<\/strong> Usage<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    In iDempiere, first navigate to the Cost Adjustment menu and create a new record to open the header. In the\u00a0Cost Adjustment tab<\/strong>, enter essential document details including\u00a0Document Type<\/strong>\u00a0,\u00a0Costing Method<\/strong>\u00a0,\u00a0Movement Date<\/strong>\u00a0, and\u00a0Currency\/Currency Type<\/strong>\u00a0(for proper financial postings and conversions). Once header details are complete, move to the\u00a0Lines tab<\/strong>\u00a0to select specific\u00a0Products<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Attribute Set Instances<\/strong>\u00a0(lot\/serial numbers), specify the\u00a0New Cost Price<\/strong>, then click\u00a0Process Inventory Count<\/strong>\u00a0to apply adjustments across inventory records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • System displays the Current Cost Price<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Enter your New Cost Price<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The difference between current and new cost is recorded<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Optionally add Charges<\/strong> for cost allocation (e.g., handling or restocking charges)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      This lets you define exactly how much<\/em> and why<\/em> cost is changing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Once the lines are complete:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Process (Complete) the Cost Adjustment document<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • iDempiere calculates the difference between current and new cost price<\/strong> for each line<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • A cost detail record<\/strong> is created to record this change<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Financial postings are generated to:\n

        • Adjust the product asset value<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Post the cost difference<\/strong> to the configured cost adjustment account<\/li>\n\n\n\n
