This organization makes it easier to manage, track, and convert units within your inventory system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Navigating to UOM Categories<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To start working with UOM Categories, Open the <strong>Inventory<\/strong> module .Click on the <strong>Products<\/strong> sub menu and select <strong>Units of Measure Categories<\/strong>. For example, Quantity-based UOMs like &#8220;Piece&#8221; or &#8220;Pack&#8221; are often grouped for POS purposes.After entering these details, <strong>Save<\/strong> the category.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding a Unit of Measure (UOM)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the UOM Category is created, you can add individual units of measure ,Click <strong>Add a line<\/strong> to create a new UOM (e.g., Piece, Kilogram, Liter) and enter the <strong>Unit of Measure Name<\/strong>.Enter the <strong>Indian GST UQC<\/strong> code (e.g., NOS for Number of Pieces).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Select the <strong>Unit Type<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bigger than reference UOM<\/strong> (e.g., 1 box = 10 pieces)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Smaller than reference UOM<\/strong> (e.g., 1 piece = 0.1 box)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting Reference and Conversion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When setting up a Unit of Measure, first define the Reference UOM, which serves as the base unit for your category (for example, Piece or Box). Next, specify the Ratio to establish the conversion relationship, such as 1 box equaling 10 pieces, meaning the ratio is 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ensure that the Active checkbox is selected so the UOM becomes immediately usable within the system. Finally, set the Rounding Precision to determine the number of decimal places for quantity calculations\u2014for instance, 1 for pieces or kilograms.
