To open a Scrap Wastage, go to the Inventory module and navigate to Operations, then select Scrap Wastage. Once you are on the Scrap Wastage page, click the New<\/strong> button to create a new record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Select the correct source location of the product in the Source Location field, then choose the appropriate product category in the Product Categories field. Once the record is saved, the system will automatically generate the document number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Owner field is optional and does not need to be filled in. The Doc Type field will display \u201cScrap\u201d and cannot be edited. The Company field will automatically show the company name based on the drop down selection. In the Effective Date field, select the appropriate date for the document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Select the product based on the chosen product category in the Product field. Once the product is selected, the UOM is automatically populated, and the system also displays the product\u2019s average cost in the Cost field. For lot products, choose the appropriate lot or serial number. If applicable, the GRN date linked to the lot or product batch will be automatically loaded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Enter the required quantity in the Adjust Qty field. Decimal quantities are allowed for products without tracking, and the entered quantity cannot exceed the available stock unless negative inventory is enabled in the system. After entering the details, click Validate to complete the process, and the product will be scrapped.
