Where product on-hand quantity can be reduced by using scrap wastage when its damage<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Navigation to Scrap Wastage in Odoo<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To open a Scrap Wastage in Odoo, go to the <strong>Inventory<\/strong> module and navigate to <strong>Operations \u2192 Scrap Wastage<\/strong>. Then, click the <strong>New<\/strong> button to create a new Scrap Wastage record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mandatory Fields for Scrap Wastage<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Select the appropriate source location of the product in the <strong>Source Location<\/strong> field, then choose the relevant product category in the <strong>Product Categories<\/strong> field. Once the record is saved, a document number will be automatically generated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Enter Basic Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Owner<\/strong> field is optional and does not need to be filled in. The <strong>Doc Type<\/strong> field, when displayed as <em>Scrap<\/em>, is not editable. The <strong>Company<\/strong> field provides a drop down that displays the company name, and in the <strong>Effective Date<\/strong> field, you can select the appropriate date for the document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Choose a Product<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Select the product according to the chosen product category in the <strong>Product<\/strong> field. Once the product is selected, the <strong>UOM<\/strong> is filled in automatically, and the product\u2019s average cost appears in the <strong>Cost<\/strong> field. For products with <em>No Tracking<\/em>, lot selection is not required. Decimal quantities are permitted for products with      <em>No Tracking<\/em>.The entered quantity cannot exceed the available stock unless negative inventory is enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>The total value is calculated as,\n           Total Value= Adjust Quantity * Cost\n\n       Example:  Adjust Quantity = 5,    Cost = 61.35\n                 Total value  =306.74<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click <strong>Validate<\/strong>, and the product will be scrapped.
