Efficient management of purchase orders is crucial for maintaining smooth operations in any business. Odoo makes it easy to create, confirm, and approve purchase orders while ensuring that all product costs and pricing are accurate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a Request for Quotation (RFQ)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To get started, navigate to the Purchase<\/strong> module in Odoo. This will bring you to the Requests for Quotation (RFQ)<\/strong> screen, where you can either select an existing draft RFQ that hasn’t been confirmed or click the +New<\/strong> button to create a new RFQ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Choose the vendor from whom you wish to purchase the items.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Add the required products to the order and enter the required quantity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. If necessary, adjust the product pricing<\/strong> (MRP, Basic Cost, Discounts), and other details like Location<\/strong> and Delivery Date<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Confirm the RFQ<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    After verifying all the order details, click the Confirm Order<\/strong> button. This action will change the RFQ status to Purchase Order<\/strong> or To Approve<\/strong>, if approval is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Approve the Purchase Order<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Once the RFQ is confirmed, the Approve Order<\/strong> button will only appear if there is a margin change from a previous purchase order, indicating that the order needs approval. The approval option will be triggered in the following scenarios:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. The product is being purchased for the first time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. The Product MRP<\/strong> (Maximum Retail Price) has been changed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. The Product Basic Cost<\/strong> has been modified.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. A Discount<\/strong> has been applied to the product.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
