A credit sale allows a customer to purchase goods\/services without immediate payment. <\/strong>The unpaid amount is recorded as a receivable. <\/strong>The customer agrees to pay the amount at a later date.<\/strong> Sale is processed in the POS system like a regular transaction. Especially useful for trusted or account-based customers. Automatically linked with customer invoices and accounting records.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A customer buys items worth Rs.10000.\nThey agree to pay in 7 days.\nThe sale is marked as a credit sale in POS.<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n
Creating a Credit Customer in  POS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Step 1: Go to POS > Orders > Customers.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Step<\/strong> 2<\/strong>: Click “Create” <\/strong>to add a new customer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
    Fill in mandatory details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Name <\/strong>\u2013 Enter the customer\u2019s full name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Tax ID<\/strong> \u2013 Provide a valid tax identification number.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Mobile Number<\/strong> \u2013 Enter the customer\u2019s active mobile contact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
      Creating a Credit Customer in POS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      In the Invoicing tab:  Enable the option \u201cPartner Limit \u201d.<\/strong> Set the Credit Limit 0 (e.g., Rs.1,000)<\/strong> 0 to define how much credit the 0 customer is allowed. Save the customer record. This customer is now ready for credit sales in POS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Add Product<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      Products can be added to the POS Cart in three ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      • Type the product code(e.g., \/2010058)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Scan the lot barcode<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • scan any of the multi barcode<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
        once added, the product appears in the POS Cart automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
        Choose the Credit Customer<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
        Click the Customer<\/strong> icon or use the shortcut Ctrl + C<\/strong> to open the customer screen. Once the screen is open, select the credit customer<\/strong>. The chosen customer will be displayed in the POS cart. Then, click the
        Payment Mode<\/strong> to proceed with the payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Validation for Credit Sale in POS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
        When selecting Credit Sale as the payment method Customer selection is mandatory.<\/strong> If no customer is chosen, the system shows an error: “Customer required for credit sale payment method.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
        If the customer\u2019s payment exceeds the credit sale limit, the system displays the following error: \u201cCustomer required for credit sale payment method.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Accurate tracking of credit accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Prevents anonymous credit sales.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

        • User must select or create a customer before proceeding with a credit sale payment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
          Click Validate<\/strong> to complete the payment through a credit sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
