In Odoo, using advance payment<\/strong>, the bill can be paid either in a single installment or split into multiple payments, with the corresponding sales order<\/strong> and Point of Sale<\/strong> used to complete the payment process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating a Sales Order<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Click New<\/strong> to create a new Sales Order. Select the customer and click Save<\/strong> \u2014 the system will automatically generate a Sales Order number. Add the product, select the lot, and enter the required quantity. Finally, click Confirm<\/strong> to complete the Sales Order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Processing Advance Payment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the POS Home Screen, click the Quotations<\/strong> section. Choose a completed Sales Order from the list to process an advance payment. When you select a Sales Order, a pop-up will appear with the following options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Apply a down payment (Percentage)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Apply a down payment (Fixed Amount)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Generating Advance Payment Receipt<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Select a down payment option (Percentage<\/strong> or Fixed Amount<\/strong>), enter the desired amount, and click Confirm<\/strong>. The calculated amount will be added to the POS cart as an Advance Payment<\/strong> line. Verify the details in the POS cart and proceed with the payment. The bill receipt will then be generated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Accessing Sales Order After Advance <\/strong>Payment Completion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Go to the Sales Order<\/strong> screen and search for the corresponding Sales Order where the advance payment has been completed. Select the Sales Order to view its details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Mapping Advance Payments to Sales Orders<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Ensure that the advance payment<\/strong> in the POS is correctly mapped to the corresponding Sales Order. Verify that the unit price<\/strong> reflects the advance payment amount. The unit price will update automatically once the advance payment is mapped to the Sales Order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Add Cost (After Tax) Display<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Add Cost (After Tax)<\/strong> field is calculated correctly after each advance payment. The taxable amount decreases when the advance payment is applied, and the Add Cost (After Tax)<\/strong> field reflects this updated amount. The decrease in the taxable amount is automatically adjusted based on the advance payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Invoiced Quantity Update and <\/strong>Displaying POS Order References<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    After the advance payment is completed, the invoiced quantity<\/strong> is updated to reflect the advance payment amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When Transferred to POS<\/strong> is selected, the POS order references appear on the Sales Order screen. The linked advance payments are displayed correctly, without any duplication or missing entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
