Tracking the status of a record is very important because it helps identify its current stage. This is mainly used to control user-wise validation or confirmation of vendor returns. For example, a regular user may only be allowed to create the record, while a manager can both create and confirm the record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To open a Vendor Return<\/strong>, access Inventory \u2192 Operations \u2192 Vendor return in the system. Click the ‘New’ button to create a new Vendor Return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Actions to Perform in Draft Status<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Select the vendor<\/strong> and return reason<\/strong> from the respective field. Once you save the record, the Transfer id is generated, and the current status is draft. <\/strong>Select the product<\/strong> from the Product field dropdown. Select the GR Bill No<\/strong> from the Bill No field dropdown. Enter the return quantity in the Demand field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
How the System Updates the Draft Status to Ready<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Once the record is saved and the Transfer ID is generated, please verify all the details of the vendor return before clicking Mark as To-Do.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
After clicking \u201cMark as To-Do,\u201d<\/strong> the status will change to Ready<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
How the System Updates the Ready Status to Done<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
After clicking \u201c<\/strong>Mark as To-Do<\/strong>,\u201d<\/strong> the page will refresh and the status will automatically change. Please verify the Product Availability<\/strong> once the products are available, you can proceed with the vendor return. Make sure to also check the Demand Quantity<\/strong> before continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When everything is correct, click \u201cValidate.\u201d<\/strong> The status will then change to Done<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
How Status are Change into Cancelled<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
When the status is Draft<\/strong> or Ready<\/strong>, you may occasionally need to cancel the vendor return. If the user clicks the Cancel<\/strong> button, the status will immediately change to Cancelled<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
