Cash rounding is a useful feature in Odoo POS that simplifies cash transactions by adjusting the total bill to a convenient amount. This makes handling small change easier and speeds up checkout for both the cashier and the customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enabling Cash Rounding in Odoo POS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To begin, open the Point of Sale<\/strong> module and click the Configuration <\/strong>and select Settings<\/strong>. In the Point of Sale<\/strong> section, select the appropriate terminal from the drop down and make sure the POS terminal is closed before applying this setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the Payment<\/strong> section, enable Cash Rounding<\/strong>, assign the appropriate cash rounding method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Processing an Order in Odoo POS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    To begin, open the POS and add products to the POS Cart. There are three convenient ways to do this: by entering the product code manually, scanning a lot barcode or scanning any associated multi-barcode. Once the products are added, you can update the quantities as needed and assign the appropriate customer to the order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After reviewing the cart, click Payment Mode<\/strong> to go to the payment screen and select Cash<\/strong> as the payment method. With cash rounding enabled and it is applied only for cash payment method, so total amount will be automatically adjusted to a convenient number. The rounding depends on the decimal values in the Total Amount, while the rounding method remains the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Total Amount is displayed as \u20b91,524<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      • Total Amount: \u20b92987.45<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • After the selection of cash payment method, the system rounds the amount down<\/strong> by \u20b90.45<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Round Off: \u20b9-0.45<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Total Amount = 2987.45 – 0.45<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Total Amount is displayed as \u20b92987<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Once the cash payment method is selected and rounding is applied, click Validate<\/strong> to complete the order.
