An Inventory Aging Report<\/strong> in Odoo<\/strong> is a report that helps businesses understand how long their inventory items have been in stock. It categorizes inventory by how long items have been sitting in the warehouse, which is useful for identifying slow-moving or obsolete stock<\/strong>, managing working capital, and optimizing purchasing decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to the Main Menu \u2192 Inventory<\/strong>. Click on Reporting, then select Inventory Aging Report<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Default Filters in Report<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Incoming filter<\/strong> shows stock moves where the source location is not internal or transit, and the destination is internal or transit. The Has Remaining Qty <\/strong>filter displays only items with a remaining quantity greater than zero. These filters exclude internal transfers and fully consumed stock moves. Together, they ensure that the report focuses on available incoming inventory that is aging in stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Category<\/strong>: Narrow the results by product category.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Company<\/strong>: Filter by company name in environments with multiple legal entities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Valuation at Date<\/strong> (button): Click to calculate the inventory aging and valuation based on the selected date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Key Search Options<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Product <\/strong>search is used to search by the product name. Reference <\/strong>search is used to search by the product reference or internal code. Product Category <\/strong>search is used to the search for the category assigned to the product. Product Template <\/strong>is used to search by the base product template (useful for product variants). Receipt WH <\/strong>is used to s<\/strong>earch by receiving warehouse location. Company <\/strong>is used to s<\/strong>earch the associated company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Using Filters in the Report<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Click the \u25bc (dropdown)<\/strong> icon in the search bar In the Filters<\/strong> section:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Outgoing<\/strong>: Show only outgoing inventory records (items issued or dispatched).<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      Applying Custom Filters<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      To apply more filters \u2794 Click Add Custom Filter. <\/strong>A custom filter popup<\/strong> will appear. By default, a rule is set \u2014 click it to see available filter options<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Grouping Report Data<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Click the \u25bc (dropdown) icon in the search bar \u2192 select Group By. Choose from the default group options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Product<\/strong>: Group inventory aging data by individual product.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Product Category<\/strong>: Group records based on product categories.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      • Company<\/strong>: Group data by company in multi-company environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
