Create Cross Docking

This video provides a practical demonstration of how to Create a Cross Docking workflow in Odoo18, showing the end-to-end process from sales order generation to final delivery without long-term warehouse storage.

• Configuring the Product: The process starts by configuring a product’s Inventory tab to use the Cross-Dock route and ensuring a vendor is set in the Purchase tab.
• Creating the Sales Order: The narrator demonstrates creating a Sales Order for the cross-docked product and confirming it to trigger the automated procurement process.
• Automated Purchase Order: Upon confirmation of the sale, Odoo automatically generates a Purchase Order for the linked vendor, which the narrator then confirms.
• Receiving the Goods: The video shows the warehouse team receiving the products; because it is a cross-dock operation, the system knows these items are earmarked for an immediate outgoing shipment.
• Validating Delivery: Once received, the narrator navigates to the related Delivery Order, which is automatically prepared, and validates it to complete the shipment to the customer.
• Invoicing: The workflow concludes with the creation and validation of the customer Invoice once the cross-docked delivery is finished.
