Create Packages

Create Packages during warehouse operations. You don’t normally create them manually from a menu — they are generated while processing stock moves.

• Understanding Packages: The narrator explains that packages are a way to group products together (like in a box or on a pallet) for more efficient handling and delivery.
• Creating a Package:
  • Navigate to Inventory > Products > Packages.
  • Click “New” to create a package. A unique Package Reference is automatically assigned.
  • Select a Package Type (e.g., Pallet) and enter the Shipping Weight.
• Adding Packages to Deliveries:
  • Go to Operations > Deliveries and select a delivery order that is in the “Ready” state.
  • Open the “Detailed Operations” pop-up for a product line.
  • In the “Destination Package” field, select the package you created earlier to assign the products to it.
• Finalizing the Delivery:
  • Save the changes and confirm the delivery.
  • The package details are now linked to the delivery, and you can validate the order to complete the process.
