Odoo GR Bill screen: Before and After changing Basic cost and Discount

In Odoo, the GR Bill (Goods Receipt Bill) is essential for managing the purchasing and accounting workflow.when basic cost and discount are given in GR Bill then values are updated in Product lot according to given values in GR Bill.

Open the Purchase module, create a new RFQ, complete the PO, and validate the GR. Confirming the GR verifies that the items were received correctly and updates stock levels.

After validation, click Create GR Bill. If the product’s control policy is On Received Quantities, the bill is generated based on the quantities actually received, and a bill will only be created once part of the order has been successfully received.

The GR Bill screen shows key vendor and transaction details, including the auto-filled vendor name, the vendor-provided bill number, and fields for Place of Supply and GST Treatment. The Invoice Lines tab lists all received products with their quantities and prices for verification before billing, and this GR Bill reflects the received quantities without changing the basic cost and discount from the original PO.

In this GR Bill, the vendor updates the basic cost to 30 and applies a 5% discount, the unit price and bill amount will automatically adjust according to the new values provided.

Lot values is updated after changing Basic cost and discount in GR Bill

When the vendor updates the pricing on the GR Bill, the system recalculates the unit value based on the new basic cost and discount.For example, the basic cost is updated to 30 and 5% discount is applied, the calculation is:

Unit Value = Basic Cost – Discount % 
Unit Value = 30 – 5% 
Unit Value = 30 – 1.5 = 28.5

So, the new unit value becomes 28.5, and the GR Bill reflects this updated amount automatically.

In Product lot, Cost Price is displayed 28.5 as Unit value of the product and in price tab purchase cost and selling price are calculated according to changed basic cost and discount in the GR Bill
