It allows businesses to monitor product availability, categories, brands, and other critical information, making inventory management more efficient and accurate. With features like quick search, built-in filters, custom filters, and grouping options, the report helps users easily locate specific products, analyse stock movements, and make informed decisions.
Accessing the Stock Details Report in Odoo Inventory
To begin with the Stock Details Report in Odoo, open the Inventory module from the dashboard. From there, navigate to the Reporting menu and select the Stock Details Report. This report provides a detailed overview of all products in the inventory, including their availability, categories, brands, and other essential information, making it easier to manage and analyse stock efficiently.
Using Quick Search in the Stock Details
The Stock Details Report also includes a quick search feature for fast access to products. Products can be searched by Brand, which displays all products associated with that particular brand, making it easier to view and analyse inventory grouped under each brand.

Using the Search Bar in the Stock Details Report
The Stock Details Report in Odoo allows users to search for products using a variety of fields to quickly locate and analyse inventory. The Product search lets you find specific items by name or internal product code. Brand allows filtering to show all products associated with a particular brand.
Product Category helps filter results based on the category a product belongs to, while POS Product Category focuses on products grouped for the Point of Sale system. Vendor enables searching for products supplied by a specific vendor or supplier. Attribute Values allows filtering based on product attributes such as color, size, or material. Product Template searches for products linked to a main template rather than individual variants.
Multi Barcode/EAN Code lets you find products using their barcodes or EAN codes. Location allows filtering based on the specific storage location of the product within a warehouse, while Warehouse lets you view products stored in a particular warehouse. Finally, Master HSN allows searching for products grouped under the same HSN code, which is useful for tax classification and reporting.

Using Filters in the Stock Details Report
The Stock Details Report comes with a variety of built-in filters to quickly refine and view the relevant data. The Available in POS filter shows products that are ready for sale in the Point of Sale system. The Can be Sold filter displays products that can be purchased through POS, while the Can be Purchased filter shows items that can be bought through Purchase Orders. The Favorites filter highlights only favorite products, and the Warnings filter shows products that have warnings attached.
Filters like Archived display products that are no longer active, while Available Products lists only currently available stock. The report also includes Negative Forecasted and Negative Quantity filters to identify products with negative forecasted or on-hand quantities. Additionally, the Ecom Products filter allows you to focus on products available on the eCommerce platform.

Applying Custom Filters in Stock Details
For more specific reporting needs, Odoo allows creating custom filters. By clicking on Add Custom Filter, a list of filter fields appears, from which any field can be selected. After choosing the field, a logical operator such as equals, not equals or contains can be applied, and the value to filter by is entered.
For example, to see products with a tax rate of 12, a custom filter can be set using Tax = 12. This flexibility ensures that the report can be tailored to meet unique inventory analysis requirements.

Grouping Data in the Stock Details Report
Grouping helps organise stock data for better analysis. The Stock Details Report allows grouping by Brand, which displays product information sorted by brand, or by Product Type, showing details for each type of product. Data can also be grouped by Product Category or by POS Product Category to focus specifically on products sold through the Point of Sale system.
Applying Custom Grouping
In addition to default grouping, Odoo allows users to add custom grouping options. By clicking on Add Custom Group, a wider range of fields becomes available for grouping. For instance, selecting HSN Code from this menu reorganises the report so that all stock details appear grouped under each HSN code, making it easier to analyse inventory based on tax classification and product categorisation.

Saving Favorites for Quick Reuse
Odoo lets filters be saved for quick use later. To save a filter, open the dropdown menu, choose “Save current search,” and give it a name. It can also be set as default or shared with others. Saved filters can be reused anytime, and unwanted filters can be deleted using the trash icon. This makes it easy to use the same filters again without setting them every time.
