How to Filter, Search and Group the Inactive Customer Report in Odoo POS
The Inactive Customer reports is Identify customers who have not made a purchase within a specific period and highlight inactive customers to help focus marketing efforts. It help businesses reconnect with and re-engage dormant customers, provides detailed customer information including last purchase date, and allows exporting of reports for marketing and sales planning.
Accessing the Inactive Customer Report
- Go to the Main Menu → Point of Sale.
- Click on Reporting → Advanced Reports.
- Select Inactive Customer Report.
- By default, the Inactive filter is applied to the report, displaying only inactive customers.
Search in Inactive Customer Report
The search bar provides flexibility by allowing users to search by:
- Customer: The name of the customer.
- Mobile: The customer’s mobile number.

Quick Search Option: Date Range
- From Date: It is set to 3 months before the current month by default but can be manually edited by the user.
- To Date: It is not used for filtering, only From Date is evaluated.
Filters in Inactive Customer Report
Click the ▼ (dropdown) icon in the search bar, In the Filters section:
- Inactive: By default, Inactive is selected, showing customers whose last order date is earlier than the “From Date.”
- Active: To change the filter, select Active, which will display customers whose last order date is on or after the “From Date”.

Using Custom Filters
To apply additional filters, click Add Custom Filter, which will open the Custom Filter popup. Click on ID to view the available filters, then choose the filter you want, such as Customer or Last Order Date. Next, select the appropriate operation, for example, is in, =, !=, or contains, and enter or choose the value based on the filter selected. Finally, click Add to apply the custom filter.

Custom Grouping
- Click the ▼ (dropdown) icon in the search bar.
- Click Add Custom Group.
- A list of group-by fields will appear(Customer, Status).
- Select one to group your report accordingly.
