How to Filter, Search and Group the Pay Mode Summary Report in Odoo POS
The Paymode Summary Report provides a comprehensive summary of sales categorized by the payment methods used in customer transactions. It includes various modes such as Cash, Credit Card, Debit Card, Bank Transfer, UPI, EVoucher, Gift Card, Credit sale, Parking Token, Razor pay ,TXPress, LRV Voucher ,Other coupon,SS Coupon and Online LRV. For each mode, the report displays the total sales amount and the number of transactions, offering a clear view of how customers prefer to pay.
To view the Paymode Summary Report, follow these steps: Point of Sale -> Reporting ->Paymode Summary Report
Default Filter
The Payment Method is the default filter. It displays all payments that have been used in the POS Terminal, allowing you to quickly view transactions by payment type.

Quick search
Date search used to Quickly filter the report by a specific date or date range to view payment summaries for that period. Payment Method search allows filtering transactions by payment modes such as Cash, Credit Card, UPI, Voucher, etc. POS (Point of Sale) search filtersresults based on the specific POS location or terminal where the sale was made. Cashier searchNarrow down data to transactions processed by a particular cashier or employee. Company search is used in multi-company environments to filter the report and display data related to a specific company.

Filtering
Date Filter This filter allows users to select a specific date or a range of dates to view the payment mode summary for that period. It helps analyze payment trends over days, weeks, or custom timeframes, enabling targeted reporting and comparison.
Today Filter The Today filter automatically sets the report to show data for the current day only. This is useful for real-time monitoring of payment methods and sales performance as the day progresses.

Using Custom Filters
To apply additional filters, click Add Custom Filter, which will open the Custom Filter popup. Click on ID to view the available filters, then choose the filter you want, such as Customer or Last Order Date. Next, select the appropriate operation, for example, is in, =, !=, or contains, and enter or choose the value based on the filter selected. Finally, click Add to apply the custom filter.

Group By
- Company: Groups the sales data by the company entity. Useful in multi-company setups to analyze payment mode performance separately for each company.
- Payment Method: Organizes the report based on different payment modes such as Cash, Credit Card, UPI, etc., allowing a clear view of the distribution of sales by payment type.
- Session: Groups data according to the Point of Sale session during which transactions occurred. Helpful for assessing performance across different sales shifts or time blocks.
- Point of Sale: Groups sales by specific POS locations or terminals. This helps compare payment patterns and sales volume between stores or POS devices.
- Order No: Groups the report by individual sales order numbers. Useful for tracking payment details at the transaction level.
- Cashier: Groups data by the employee or cashier who processed the sale, assisting in evaluating individual performance and accountability.

Custom Grouping
Click the ▼ (dropdown) icon in the search bar. Click Add Custom Group.
- A list of group-by fields will appear(Customer, Status).
- Select one to group your report accordingly.
