How to Search, Filter and Group the Invoice Analysis Report in Odoo Invoicing
The Invoice Analysis Report in Odoo Invoicing is a useful tool for understanding your sales performance, customer billing, and product-wise revenue. With the help of search, filter and group options, you can easily organize the data and view it the way you want.
Opening the Invoice Analysis Report
To access this report, go to the main menu and click Invoicing. Then open the Reporting menu and in the Management section, choose Invoice Analysis Report. Once the report appears, you can start exploring the available tools to refine the information.
Search Options in the Report
The search bar helps you quickly locate specific details within the report. You can search by invoice date, customer name by typing the partner’s name. If you want to check invoices handled by a particular salesperson, you can type the salesperson’s name.
You can also search by sales team, product name, product code, barcode or product category. These search options make it easy to find the exact invoice data without browsing through the full list.

Applying Filters for Detailed Results
For more precise results, you can use the filter options available in the drop down next to the search bar. You can filter the report for My Invoices to view only your invoices , for To Invoice the invoices that are yet to be created, or invoiced that have already been issued.
You can also filter by customers, vendors, by invoice documents, or by credit notes. The invoice date and due date filters allow you to view invoices within specific months or quarters, helping you understand billing patterns and upcoming payments.
If you need more advanced filtering, you can add a custom filter. When you click “Add Custom Filter,” a popup opens where you can choose the filter field, the type of comparison, and the value you want to apply. After selecting the details, clicking Add will filter the report based on your custom criteria.

Grouping the Report for Better Analysis
Grouping helps you organize the data in a more readable form. From the dropdown in the search bar, you can choose Group By to group invoices by salesperson, sales team, Partner, product category, brand, status or company. This is useful when you want to compare performance or analyze trends.
You can also group by dates. By choosing invoice date or due date, you can view the report grouped by year, quarter, month, week or day. This helps you understand sales trends and monitor expected payments.
If you want additional grouping options, you can click “Add Custom Group” and select the field you want to group by.
