How to View the Stock Location Report in Odoo Inventory
The Stock Location Report in Odoo Inventory helps show where products are stored, track stock movements between locations, and manage inventory efficiently. It provides detailed insights into quantities, costs, and storage, making it easier to monitor and plan your warehouse operations.
Accessing the Stock Location Report
To view the report, go to the Inventory module from the main dashboard, then click on Reporting. Under Basic Reports, select Stock Location. This opens the report where you can see all products and their locations, allowing easy access to inventory data without modifying stock records.
Searching, Filtering, and Grouping Stock Data
Odoo makes it simple to search for stock locations using keywords for products, locations, warehouses, storage categories, or assigned users. You can also filter results by criteria such as warehouse, product, brand, on-hand stock, negative stock, incoming date, or starred products. These filters can be used individually or combined for more specific results.
The Group By feature helps organize stock into meaningful categories, while Custom Group By allows grouping by fields like customer groups, lot numbers, or storage type for better analysis. You can also save your filter settings using the Favorites option to reuse them quickly whenever needed.
Details Captured in the Stock Location Report
The report shows the Location of each product, which helps you know exactly where items are stored. Each product has a unique Product Code for identification and a Product Name for easy recognition.
The report also includes tax-related fields like Master HSN and Branch HSN, which classify goods for tax purposes. Barcodes and Lot/Serial Numbers allow quick scanning and batch tracking of individual items.
Additional product information such as Product Brand, Division, Department, Category, and Sub-category, which helps in organizing inventory. The Company and Warehouse fields show which business unit and warehouse manage the stock, making it easier to track stock across multiple locations.
Pricing and cost information is also included. The MRP (Maximum Retail Price) shows the selling price, while the Cost reflects the average purchase cost. The On Hand quantity shows current stock, which can sometimes be negative if adjustments were made. The Cost Value calculates the total stock value based on quantity and cost, helping track inventory value and spot issues.
By reviewing these fields, you can easily monitor stock levels, identify products that need restocking, track batches or serial numbers, and analyze the value of inventory at each location. This detailed information supports better warehouse management, planning, and decision-making.
Views and Exporting the Stock Location Report
Odoo provides multiple ways to view stock data. List View displays all records in a table with sortable and resizable columns. Pivot View allows comparing stock across locations and grouping by product or lot number, while Graph View provides visual charts such as bar, line, or pie charts.
The Stock Location Report can be exported to Excel using the Export All option. The exported file includes all filtered or grouped data along with headers showing the company name, the user who exported it, and the date and time. This export feature supports offline analysis and easy sharing of stock movement data for better inventory planning.
