How to view the Odoo Stock Take Report in Inventory
The Stock Take Report in Odoo Inventory helps businesses compare the physical stock counted in the warehouse with the quantities recorded in the system. This report is generated during physical inventory counting and shows important details such as product name, recorded quantity, counted quantity, and the difference between the two. It is created through an Inventory Adjustment, which updates the system with the correct stock levels after a physical check.
Accessing the Stock Take Report
To open the Stock Take Report, you can navigate from the main menu by going to HHT → Reporting → Stock Take Report. Once the report is opened, it displays all the inventory counting details for review.

Search, Filter and Group Options
The Stock Take Report provides several search options to help users find specific information quickly. You can search by location, product name, transfer records, reference numbers, product category, or lot/serial numbers.
Default filters such as Done, Ready, To Do, Incoming, Outgoing, and Internal help users view only the stock movements or counts that match the required status. Date filters offer quick selections such as last 3 months, quarterly periods, or the last 3 years. If more customization is needed, the “Add Custom Filter” option .
Users can group by product, status, date, transfer type, location, category, or carrier to view records in organized clusters. If users need other grouping options, the “Add Custom Group” option.

Understanding the Report Fields
Each row in the Stock Take Report contains useful information that explains what happened during the physical stock count. It shows the date of the stock take, the reference number of the adjustment, and the product name. If applicable, the lot or serial number is displayed for tracking specific batches.
The report also shows the starting and ending locations, company name, counted quantity, department name, categories, subcategories, and brand details. Additional financial information like MRP, cost price, and total value is included to help understand the stock impact. The unit of measure and the status of the record whether draft, validated, or done are also displayed.

Exporting the Stock Take Report
Odoo allows users to download the Stock Take Report in Excel or CSV format for offline review or sharing. By clicking the Action button. After clicking the Export All button, the file is downloaded and can be used for analysis, auditing, reporting, or maintaining backup copies for record-keeping.
