How to Create Coins and Bills in Odoo POS
Managing cash denominations in Odoo POS is simple and plays a key role in maintaining accurate and efficient cash handling throughout daily operations. By defining Coins and Bills within the system, cashiers can quickly record payments using the correct denominations.
Accessing Coins/Bills in Odoo POS
From the Point of Sale module, you can access the Coins/Bills menu under the Configuration section to view all existing denominations in your system. This page displays every coin and bill already set up, making it easy to review or update them as needed.
Creation of New Coins/Bills
To create a new Coins/Bills, simply click +New and enter a appropriate Name(Example: 1000.00) then provide its actual value in Coin/Bill Value(Example: 1000.00).
You can also choose whether the denomination should be available across all POS terminals or limited to specific ones by selecting the desired terminal from the Point of Sales drop down. If the denomination is also intended to behave as a parking token during session closing, simply enable the Parking Token checkbox to activate this feature.
After entering all the details, click Save. The new denomination will then be available in the POS for handling cash during both the opening and closing sessions.
