Baud Rate:

The baud rate determines the speed of data transmission between the weighing scale and the POS system. It is essential to set the baud rate correctly to ensure accurate and timely data transfer.
Common baud rates (e.g., 9600, 19200) must match between the POS terminal and the weighing scale for effective communication.

Weighing Scale Port:

The weighing scale port (often a serial or USB port) is the connection point through which the scale communicates with the POS system.
Proper configuration of the port settings (such as parity, stop bits, and data bits) is necessary for the system to interpret the weight data accurately.
