How to setup OTP Length, OTP Validity For Points Redemption in ADempiere Retail
Setting up a system where an OTP (One-Time Password) is sent to the customer’s registered mobile number when they try to redeem loyalty or reward points, to verify their identity and prevent misuse.

What User Can Do
- Enable OTP verification for points redemption
- Configure the OTP length and minutes in the branch screen
Pre-Requisite Activities
- Customer’s mobile number must be registered and valid
- SMS gateway/API must be integrated and active
- Loyalty points program should be active for the customer
- System role must have permission to redeem points with OTP
Business Rules
- OTP must be sent only to the registered mobile number
- OTP should be time-limited
- Redemption proceeds only if OTP is correct and verified
- All OTP events (sent, verified, failed) should be logged for audit
- If no mobile number exists, redemption is not allowed
- OTP must be random and secure
User Interface
Step 1 : Select ‘branch’ in menu -> Branch Configuration-> Branch. or Search branch on Lookup search box.
Step 2: In organization Info:- Sms tab enter the otp length.
Step 3: Enter the otp validity minutes.
