How to use POS Promotion Inactive process in Adempiere Retail

The promotion is turned off and cannot be used or applied at the point of sale.
It will not give any discount, will not appear on the POS screen, and is not available to customers or staff during sales.

Who Can Access

• Back Office
• Cashier
• Purchase Manager
• Admin

What User Can Do

• See that the promotion is inactive
• Proceed with normal sales
• Inform the customer
• Check for other valid promotions

Pre-Requisite Activities

• For POS Promotion Activation
• For Invoice Reversal/Void

BUSINESS RULES

• A promotion marked as inactive must not be available or visible at the POS terminal.
• The POS system must not apply any discount or benefit from an inactive promotion.
• Only authorized users (e.g. Marketing Manager, Admin) can set a promotion to inactive status.
• Once a promotion expires, it must automatically change to inactive status in the system.
• Attempting to apply an inactive promotion must trigger a clear message (e.g., “Promotion is inactive”).
