How does Invoice Detail and Margin works in iDempiere

The Invoice Detail and Margin report provides detailed information about individual sales and purchase invoice lines in iDempiere. It displays invoice, customer, product, pricing, discount, and margin information for each invoice line, helping users analyze invoice transactions and product profitability.

The report is mainly used by Sales, Finance, and Management teams to review invoice details, monitor discounts and margins, and analyze product sales performance.

Business Rules

• The report retrieves invoice line information from the RV_C_InvoiceLine report view.
• Each record represents a single sales or purchase invoice line.
• The report supports both Sales and Purchase invoice transactions.
• Users can filter the report by Business Partner Group, Business Partner, Product Category, Product, Date Invoiced, and Sales Transaction.
• If a filter is selected, only matching invoice records are displayed.
• Multiple parameters can be used together to narrow the report results.
• The report displays invoice details, product information, quantities, prices, discounts, and margin details.
• Discount percentage, margin percentage, margin amount, and invoice amounts are calculated by the report view.
• The report is for analysis only and does not modify invoice data.
• Based on the available implementation, the report retrieves data directly from the RV_C_InvoiceLine report view without using a custom Java process.

The Invoice Detail and Margin parameter window allows users to filter invoice line records before generating the report. Users can select Business Partner Group, Business Partner, Product Category, Product, Date Invoiced, and Sales Transaction to retrieve invoice detailsa.
