Overview

Manufacturing Management is the operational module in iDempiere that supports the definition, validation, management, and production of manufactured products. It manages the product structure and manufacturing information required to transform raw materials and components into finished products.

The module provides capabilities for defining Parts, Bill of Materials (BOMs), formulas, substitutions, quality tests, and production transactions. It helps organizations maintain accurate product structures, validate BOM configurations, manage component relationships, and record production of finished goods.

1. Quality Test

Quality Test provides the ability to define and manage quality tests associated with products and manufacturing activities.

2. Part Type

Part Type is used to define and classify manufacturing parts.

3. Bill of Materials and Formula

The Bill of Materials and Formula functionality defines the structure of a manufactured product by specifying the components required to produce it.

4. Validate BOM Flags

Validate BOM Flags is used to validate the BOM-related configuration of products.

5. Universal Substitution

Universal Substitution provides a mechanism to replace one product with another product across BOM definitions.

6. BOM Viewer

BOM Viewer provides a visual way to analyze the relationship between a product and its BOM components.

7. Production (Single Product)

Production (Single Product) is used to record production for an individual manufactured product based on its defined BOM.
